Hello.
I have encountered a serious problem with your device ESI UDJ6 under Windows7 64 bit. After selecting this soundcard in ASIO dialog of any application I obtain a BSOD with filename of sys driver of udj6. I have tested driver versions 1.0 and 1.2 and have the same result.
1. How can I correct the problem?
2. Inform me if i could help you to investigate the problem by sending you dumps etc.
3. Does this soundcard supported under linux?
Thanck you.
P.S.: excuse me for my poor English.

The issue you show has not been reported before to UK Support.
Nor have we heard of this.
However.
Can you please provide more details.
If any error message shows make a note of any error message or capture a screen shot of any error message.
Also please provide details on your system and it’s specifications etc.
And any other information that would be of help.
……………
Also you mention in your email.
«After selecting this sound card in ASIO dialog of any application I obtain a BSOD with filename of sys driver of udj6.»
Can you please say what applications this occurs with.
………….
Regarding use under Linux.
We have not tested this , but it should work as it is 100% class compliant.

Hello.

Attached is information about error.

Soundcard does not work under ANY application, including simple music players (WDM) and recording studios (ASIO).

Several 64-bit OSs were tested.

I am sorry but I am not able to open your attached files.
………
As mentioned previously.
The issue you show has not been reported before to UK Support.

Also I have not seen this on test system used here.
…………
You mention in your email.
«Several 64-bit OSs were tested.»
Was this on different systems?
If not.
If at all possible can you try your UDJ6 on a completely different system and check any results.
………….
Also.
Can you please provide full details on the system you are using.
…………
However.
I have forwarded your email on to ESI engineers .

Unfortunately the problem occurs on 32 bit windows 7 too.

Attached is memory minidump and analisys of the minidump. It’s seen that error source is UDJ6drv.sys driver.

Below is notebook Asus K45A configuration:

CPU Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-3210M 2501 МГц,

MEMORY 4гб

Chipset: Intel HM76

Hi Alexey,

hope I spell your name correct.

Thanks for you bug report. Unfortunately I was not able to reproduce the BOSD with any of our test PC and Laptops or any ASIO software we use for testing.
(Like Cubase 4, 5, 6 , Guitar Rig, Foobar and so on…)

Also we do not have reports from other users that it is not working.

Can you do me a favor and follow this steps below:

Unplug the device
Stop the UDJ6 Panel which you find in the taskbar, with the Task manager: The process name is: UDJ6Pan.exe
Restart the UDJ6Pan.exe as «Administrator» with a right click on the executable which is located under : «C:\Windows\System32\UDJ6Pan.exe»
Open the panel, select in the menu «Config->Factory Defaults»
Reboot the PC and than plug in the device again.
this will reset all configurations to the default values and makes sure that they are loaded and the hardware will be initialized with this values.

If you have any further questions about the steps above please fell free to ask me.

Thanks for your help and your patience.

Best Regards,
Jesko Quenzer

that is too bad…
Is the dump from a 32 or an 64 Bit system ?

We will have a look into it, but as long as we are not able to reproduce this error it is realy hard to find and solve the issue.
But we will give our best.

Can you tell me again, what ASIO software did you tried ?

Did you tried Cubase for example ?

Could you try the Foobar Player with the ASIO Plugin ?

Thank you for your quick answer.

This dump was produced under Windows 7 Home Premium x86 (32 bit).

Nuendo and Kontakt were tested, but problem occurs with Windows Media Player too when i select any output of UDJ6 as default sound output in Windows control panel.

Analisys of dump shows promlem in driver UDJ6drv.sys, not in an application. I hope you will analize dump in details and find a source of the error.

Inform me if i could provide you extra information.

do you have other ESI products as well, or did you try to install a different driver ?

I attached a version of the driver which could fix that bug, but I’m not 100% sure, because I was not able to reproduce the bug on my systems.

Would you be so kind and try this driver ?

I changed the file extension from «.zip» to «_zip» because otherwise Gmail will block the attachment.
So please rename the file name from
__beta__UDJ_6-v1_21_xp78_3264_zip
to
__beta__UDJ_6-v1_21_xp78_3264.zip

Thanks a lot I’ll try it.

Yes I have the same probleme of bsod crash when I plug or unplug the sound card and somtimes when I use a music software (ableton live).

I’m also using an asus (n56vz, i7, win7 and 8go) so maybe the probleme come from here… I dont know. Do you want my dump file?

The card was plug on usb3, and I read somewhere that people had probleme with their midi controller because of that (despite it should be 100% compatible).

Thanks a lot again!

cheers

The problem occurs when you select Buffernumber if before the sound card has been disconnected from the system. So as I have this problem on ASIO.
